The ride home.

AJ did so well the entire ride home (which took about 13 hours when all was said and done!). She ate and played and slept... got a little antsy, but really was a trooper!

Holding her bottle all by herself!

Sleeping.
What a little lady... she crosses her legs at the ankles!

Indiana.

The third weekend in June, Abby took her first long road trip. I flew down and met Ashlee in Florida, and then we met up with the whole crew in Indiana for a wedding. It was great to have the whole family together, and we took some time between the ceremony and the reception to enjoy our little reunion!

Connie volunteered to take on the babies while the rest of us played mini-golf. She has Troy on her back and AJ in the stroller!

Dani is an excellent mini-golfer. She enjoys putting her balls into the water hazards.

I took full advantage of the fact that we were all dressed up for a quick family picture. It took a couple tries, but we got one!

What you don't see in this picture is the fact that Troy very nearly stabbed Shannon in the eye with a fork... hence the look on her face:).

Troy and Abby get along really well!

Maybe a little too well??

Happy Father's Day!

Abby and Chad's first Father's Day started off with a baby backpack from Grandma Connie. Abby loves it because she can see what's going on!

Great Grandpa Z came out to the farm for supper. He sure loves Abby!

The rest of these are from actual Father's Day.

Naked Baby!!

Some pictures that will come back to haunt AJ some day... :)

Piglet.

When Abby turned four months, we got the go-ahead from Dr. Tatsumi to try a bit of rice cereal. It's been quite the adventure! I knew babies needed to learn to eat, but I thought it would come much more naturally and that it would just be a matter of bringing out the "skill". Bah. I actually have to teach her every step of the way! She started just kind of feeling it out with her tongue, then pushing it out of her mouth and spreading it all around with her fingers. We're to the point now where she may naw on the spoon a bit, but it's hit and miss, and still mostly miss!

Also... I think I have my new favorite picture...

... the two loves of my life.
